New mobo problem, please help!

I just got an Asus K8n-E Deluxe and an Athlon 64 mobile chip. I put it all together last night and decided to wait till this morning to power up because I was tired. I turned it on this morning and I got an audio message through my headphones saying "System fail due to CPU overclock". Does anyone know what causes this?
