new mobo dont see my cd rw right.

Heres a screeny and look @ how it names it also.

I have it on second ide as master and in bios it shows up as name "P"

none windows see the cdrom but dont acess it. And bios name is wrong also and in windows the name is wrong.
 
I'm a little confused by that busy screenie, but it looks to me like your hardware and windowsXP are both identifying your drives correctly.

what ever software that is that the 'unsupported' message is comming from...... doesn't support those drives. Look for upgrades/patches for that appllication.

(just because windowsXP recognizes a drive, that doesn't mean every other application can)

My usb works but that is for usb 2.0 drivers i cant find damn refreb board came w/ no cd rom drivers! And the cdrom is like dead it wont even boot up w/ my windows xp cd. Just say its brain dead on this mobo hehe.

 
hmmmm,

well, assuming you have been in the BIOS and do have it set to boot to CDROM, it sounds like you got hozed on the mobo deal.

I have 2 cd roms on this board. 1 works other dont which is my burner. :brokenheart:
