Installed my new MOB last night. Everything went smooth. When it came time for the reloading of my OS I tried SYSPREP (ran before installing new mob) and REPAIR. Neither worked. Kept getting an ISASS.EXE error about a password and the rig would just keep rebooting. I reloaded everything using Drive Image 7.0 and booted up the rig. Wouldn't you no of all the things that shouldn't have worked. It booted right up. Updated all my drivers for the new mob and puting the final tweaks on it now.

Asus A8V Deluxe w/ 1gb ram
Athlon X2 4200
True430 PSU
ATI AIW 9800 Pro 128
ings it worked.

I do beleive the slang for motherboard is mobo, not mob.
Mob would imply a bunch of gangsters coming to set your house on fire.

You evidently have never tried getting W2k to boot from FastTrak/66 array... (grrrrh) Involves making changes to .SIF and .INF file on the OS CD and locating specific version of driver. Instruction and said drivers Promise no longer keeps on their website. Fortunately net has very long memory...
