New microcode/bios necessary for cC0?

Has anyone heard if the BIOS updates (with new CPU microcode) that were necessary on some mobos when Intel released the 1.13 GHz chip will also be necessary wíth these sub-GHz cC0s? Could be difficult for all BX owners with "out of production" mobos to get new BIOSes, I mean...

Personally I own a very stable Tekram P6BX-An, which unfortunately is not produced anymore.

they might release it if they like.. but some board will work w/o the code.. I thought it was just to identify the stepping for motherboards...
