New method of forwarding an E-mail

Had a user send my team an E-mail this morning that contained a screen shot (in Outlook) of the E-mail she wanted to forward to us that had a screen shot in it... So what we got was an E-mail with a screenshot of a screenshot. In bitmap format.

*sigh*

Sounds like something my girlfriend would do... wait she dont know how to take a screen shot.

Is she blonde?

What a bizarre juxtaposition of knowledge and no0bishness. Most users aren't aware of the concept of a screenshot, yet can forward email.

I work at the same place and I probably know the user... what's sad is that it could be one of about 30 who would easily do the same thing.

Favorite line: "Do I have click save to save the information I just entered?"

[edit] It was our team who taught them to take screenshots (we did tell them to paste into a word doc prior to sending, so it's not our fault!) because we got tired of people emailing issues that said, "I clicked it and I got an error message."

Gotta love how they still ask that even when the system warns them, "You are closing this screen, data will be lost unless it is saved!"

But they're my users and I'm actually fond of 'em. 🙂
