Okay, let me add my $0.02.
I despise Asus, but sure, go with the Premium, it's okay.
X2 3800+ for sure.
2 GB of RAM. Don't get 2x512, because then when you want to add more, you have to go with 4x512, which means running 2T (performance hit), & also, A64s in general seem to do better with 2 dimms. Some mobos won't even work properly with 4 dimms. You dislike value RAM? Aight then.

^ ~ Some excellent RAM, which i have myself.
Raptor 74 GB is fine. It's not worth the money to most people, but to me, it is. The seek times really do give it a snappy feel you don't get with other HDDs.
For CPU cooling, go with the best air cooler out there, the Thermaltake Big Typhoon.
7800GTX - great, but i hope you have a monitor that does 1600x1200, otherwise the 7800GTX is going to waste.
