Im lookin to upgrade and was just wondering if i changed my motherboard would i have to do a reformat of windows. I know you can swap out out cpus with no problems but am unsure about motherboards. Any help on this would be appreciated

I would say most generally you have to reinstall windows when going to a new motherboard. Unless it is just a Rev change say from Rev 1. to Rev 2. then I would try the current installation of Windows.
