So i just upgraded MD and Video card to a Tul ati chipset with a x850xt pe from a DFI with a 9700pro

The problem is that now when i play BF2 or oblivion on my OLD settings i am getting 10 frames or less!!! The Tul MB drivers disk did not list the ATI chipset drivers and i cannot find them and tuls website doesnt have them

what i did find was at ati.com was the southbridge drivers but i installed that and it did nothing for me.

I 'think' the problem is chipset drivers buttt im not sure. Why would this awesome card not run better then my 9700pro

Also i upgraded from agp to PciE can anyone help is there some special stuff in bios for PCIe to go fast?

PS just got their website to work but no extra drivers are listed :( what do I do ?

Maybe you need this driver (get either "wdm" or "2k/xp"): http://www.tul.com.tw/global/driver.aspx?keyword=ati#
I'm not sure, they provide very little description of what exactly it is.

I do think the "South Bridge driver package" on ati.com's motherboard drivers section is what you want, but you can try that download above as well to see if it does anything for you. Have you reinstalled Windows or are you on the same install? You should reinstall your video drivers (latest ones at that) after changing your video card.

Ok good news that new settings sure did change things BF2 went from 12fps to 70fps

Does anyone know of anymore bios tweaks for PCIe, this is my first time with the new video technology

OK well it changed things in single player but on multiplayer im still playing SAME SETTINGS AS OLD 9700PRO what is the freakin deal getting so pissed off

Well this seems only a temp fix this MB / Video isnt agreeing with each other any ideas ?

I have done:

2 fresh installs of windows
Fresh installs of drivers updated
Disabled onboard sound, onboard lan...
Cried a few times

What is happing now is if i alt tab out of BF2 my frames will go back up for a min or so until i alt tab out again. Some times this does nothing though. My cpu usage is through the roof with nothing showing usage besides idle thingy

any ideas? Oh no spyware run spyware. also fresh install of windows and never touch the internet
