Interesting.

I was just reading in the paper that the designer who penned the Solstice and Sky has left GM and joined Mazda North America.

This design reminds me of a cross between Solstice and an RX-8, but according to this article, Franz von Holzhausen wont "officially" join Mazda until Feb. 21.

Maybe I only see the resemblance (mostly to the Solstice coupe I have seen pics of) since I just read the article.

Not feelin it. Pretty generic contemporary design. Anyway, its going to be the same problem that historically plagues Japanese cars. They always look great from one angle but look silly from all others.
