It depends, if it was as ridiculous as this one and was a source of amusement at the OP's expense it'd probably be left open. Just saying:laugh:

Ya, most of their stuff reads like a shitty blog written by an angry emo kid. It is completely worthless and posting it on other forums is doing nothing but spreading their filth which is almost as bad as supporting it. Nice job RY62...

DailyKos has plenty of stupid things on it, but Freep is truly a treasure trove of insanity. (I hear DU is also) I have to be honest, every time a big news story comes out about gay marriage, evolution, etc I always head over to Freep to read the comments on the articles. It's absolutely hilarious to watch the crazy explosion over there.

(I have no doubt that a few people on this forum are probably freepers as well)

I stay away from that extremist crap, as it would only serve to piss me off.

The irony of being strongly egalitarian and libertarian as I am is that it makes me somewhat moderate in the American political spectrum. Mostly because both the left and right wing agendas require some seriously authoritarian govt measures. The extreme right has gone way way off the deep end towards fascism too, so for any of them to equate a liberal candidate like Obama with Hitler is worse than just Godwin's Law.

Bobberfett's analysis, if one could call it that, is particularly obnoxious, and Shinerburke's sig is beyond the pale.

Agree with them or not, the Kossacks exhibit a great deal of thought and originality, while the Freepers merely chant slogans and repeat what they've absorbed via osmosis into their thick dittohead skulls... much like the OP.

Only because you happen take the side of the freaks at Dailykos. I'm sure hardcore right wingers think FreeRepublic is a bastion of deep thinkers as well. Partisan hacks like you are so myopic it's sad. My side good. Other side bad. You're ridiculous.

Heh. You seem to be able to reduce life to a series of derogatory one-liners, just like your pals over at Freeperville. Your notion of discussion, of persuasion, of making sense is like that of the OP- merely a caricature. He couldn't lead sailors on shore leave to loose women and free whiskey, and neither could you.

OTOH, like I said before, some of the Kossacks actually think, and manage to make sense out of it all. Here's a piece from one of their regular contributors- might try reading it unless you're afraid it'll burn your eyes out or destroy your purity of thought by depleting your precious bodily fluids-

http://www.dailykos.com/storyo.../1002/80386/469/559900

Nor is that uniquely insightful for their contributors... Nothing like that ever appears at Freeperville, just the chanting and raving of whatever they heard from Rush, or Hannity, or O'Reilly...

I admit, I was doing a little, tongue in cheek, trolling with that one.

You gotta admit though, there is some good advice in that memo. I'll be trying to pay more attention to how I post because of it. The "psycho bitch", McSame, Obamaessiah lables and personal attacks really don't do us much good but a little bit of trolling and jabbing keeps it interesting. :)

Oh I agree about the memo, actually it's not bad advice for people of EVERY political stripe. With the tone of much of the casual commentary on message boards and blogs, it makes me wonder if some people aren't secretly trying to drive votes AWAY from their claimed candidate. Some of the "advice" in that "memo" seems pretty obnoxious as well, but the idea of being honest and actually trying to CONVINCE people isn't a bad idea. Too much political commentary seems designed to push people even farther away from your ideas, when the real strength of the Internet should be to convince people.

I guess I touched a nerve with this one.

I'm sorry Jhhnn. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings or to belittle the DailyKooks. I really didn't think anyone would take this thread very seriously.

I think I can relate to how you feel. I can remember what it felt like when Senator Clinton was falling and everyone kept trying to kick her while she was down. I wouldn't want to make you feel like that. Will you forgive me?

Then you can just "get over it". :)

Blah blah blah. Keep thinking you're something other than a partisan hack, it probably helps you sleep at night.

LOL Obamabots, I'd have voted for that psycho bitch Hillary before I'd vote for another 4 years of Bush policies as would most voting for Obama. It's the same situation as it has been for years, we aren't voting for somebody as much as we are voting against somebody and after 8 miserable years of Bush and the Republicans we'd be god damned if we'd support that old crank McSame.

Which is the damn craziest thing. The democrats were handed the White House on a silver platter in 2004. What did they do.. they got together the two most liberal voting pair they could find and threw them on a ticket together forcing a lot of people to vote for Bush. Now in 2008 they have got someone who is even more to the left of a Kerry/Edwards ticket. What could have been a sure thing again for the democrats is now a dead heat.

You forgot about the part where the Republicans give us even worse choices, running only the most crooked and corrupt politicians they can find. Why do you overlook that, I wonder?

Bush is just an idiot, I don't necessarily think he is corrupt. Now Cheney on the other hand...

But really love the democrats all you want but when it comes down to it both parties are filled with self serving asshats from the Federal to the State level. Just google "operation Tennessee Waltz" and see what I mean.

Nice straw man. I don't love the Democrats. I'm voting out the Republicans for being corrupt liars and crooks who are lacking in intelligence and morals from their leaders to their lowest forum hack.
There is essentially no promise that the Republicans didn't break in their tenure of power, and yet for some reason their faithful can't stop defending them. Right now, I figure Bush or McCain could eat a baby on live national TV and there would still be the usual apologists. It's sickening.

Godwin's Law just like the OP.

Careful or you'll end up just as much a forum troll as he is.

Whew. There for a second you had me worried. I thought you were going to say I would end up as much of a self righteous douchebag as you are.

Anyone who thinks Bush isn't a total disaster as a President should have their head examined.

You should have supported Kerry because if he had won it would be almost certain a Republican would be elected this time and it wouldn't be that old crank McSame.

Kerry looked too much like Herman Munster.

If anyone I should have voted for Gore in 2000 knowing what I know now. Sure he is a little nuts and over the top with the whole Manbearpig thing, but he couldn't have been worse than Bush.
