new manual for asus a7v133 (different jumper settings for both raid 1 & raid 0)

maybe this is old news, but new to me, i was checking for latest bios at the asus ftp site and saw a new manual version 1.05 i scanned through it real quick and noticed it had different jumper settings then my manual for the promise controller.

mine only showed how to have it set at raid 0

but the manual has a date of march 27th 2001 so for all i know people have posted this a week or two ago.

i just double checked, and it doesnt say anything about needing to be revision 1.05 or newer, but.... that doesnt mean it isnt so, i guess the only way to know for sure is to try it.

i have the board, but only use a single hard drive.

i remember when the board first came out people said that the promise controller was capable of running raid 1, 0, 0+1 but that asus didnt enable it, and it would only take a bios update to get full raid functions ( i dont know if thats true or not, i just remember hearing it)

ohhh well its worth looking into either way.

Note: when i was looking around i didnt see the new version of the manual on asus's web page, it was only on their ftp site. the manual version is 1.05 E743 the newest manual on the http site was 1.02

so if you are interested in downloading the .pdf manual the ftp ip is 210.59.147.149 port 21
