New Logitech G710

Are you going to make good use of Logitech's software? If yes, then get it anyway. You can get #8 o-rings cheaply enough, and a key puller, if they aren't present, and you want them. However, with a Blue switch, they will not dampen the sound much. Blues make noise when you activate the key, regardless of whether or not you bottom out the key.

If you won't use their software, and it's made like the current Brown version, IMO, choose something else, like from Cooler Master, Ducky, KBT, Das, etc.. Unless you use the software with combined KB/mouse/G13/etc. profiles, they are not priced well for what they are, IMO.

i doubt the have o-rings installed from the retail store. most of the mechanical keyboards i've purchased, i've had to buy o-rings separately and install them. not a big deal though if you dont like the clicky sound.

The G710+ has O-rings from the factory. They would only minimally help a Blue switch KB, though. Making Blues quiet would require the damping material to be inside the switch itself.

I decided to give the G710+ one more try. They are on sale at NewEgg for $99. That makes it worthwhile, even if I need to get a new set of keycaps down the road. Thanks for all the input.

If you end up replacing caps, note that the spacebar is the only odd sized one (6.5u, I think). The rest are either standard or easy to come by.

Most folks I see have been complaining that Logitech wants to replace the whole KB, instead. While I do think it it is a problem to be dealt with, especially for the typical $120+ cost, all but spacebar are easy to get replaced (the win and menu keys might need to be row 3 blanks, though).
