Hello,

this thing is freaking awesome. I just received my 15" LCD Viewsonic VG151 Black from Dell and this thig is tight. Of COurse not as crisp as my 19" Samsung CRT but it's sweet as hell. Not a way to describe it unless you have had experience with on.

I am in heaven,

Phil

I had a 17" Dell that I ordered, but I decided I needed the $600 more than the LCD. So I refused it. 🙁

I have a 19" NEC FE950+ out for delivery today, though, should be a massive leap from the 15" I'm using now.

I have 3 of the 22" versions of that monitor on my desk at work. They are suh-weet monitors, your gonna love it! I still find my LCD at home is easier on the eyes, and thats one of the primary reasons I bought it.

I just got a new Viewsonic VG175 LCD, 17.4 inches viewable, high contrast, 160-degree viewing angle.

It's just amazing, way much better than I expected.
(That's for the office, I wish I could afford one for my home system).

Now I know the feeling...

Just curious, but why do people downgrade (in size that is) from a large CRT to an LCD. What is the difference in picture? Also, are the LCD monitors the same as those on notebooks?

although it sounds like people are downgrading in size, they usually aren't.

17" CRT = ~15" viewable (the newer ones are higher)

15" LCD = ~15" Viewable

so it's not a downgrade. (same for 19"/17" LCD)
