I've been looking around for a new laptop. So far, I'm checking out IBM, Sony, Dell, Gateway. Please tell me some experiences you guys have with these companies and how they handle their warranties and how good their products are. Sony seems to be heavily overpriced whereas the rest seem to be pretty competitive pricewise for what you get. Any suggestions are welcome, thanks.
 
if price is a factor then have a look at the refurbished Dells & you'll get yourself a good deal & that includes warranty! 🙂
 
I'm typing this on a Dell Inspiron 7500 that's almost 2 years old. Bought refurb, never a problem, one dead pixel. Best money I ever spent. (Except for my Porsche 944 that cost $4000).
