Hi, looking for a windows laptop for my daughter studying graphic design. There are so many options to choose. Looking for recommendations please. Thinking £750 yo £1000.

Buying a laptop is a complicated decision as there are lots of factors which are considerations in the compromise (eg, size, cost, performance -CPU/Graphics/Battery Life, looks, features - card reader/webcam/finger print sensor/availble ports/storage, reliability, vendor support, sound- speaker quality,/loudness, trackpad quality, etc.).

Lots of experience here.

Top two important factors are keyboard and display. (And sometimes - depends - trackpad quality.)

For you, your gonna want a good display. It's gonna probably be IPS of some kind plus have high contrast ratio and Adobe color compliance.

If your gonna do complex/specialty graphics you may want a good amount of ram (eg, 16GB min) and some kind of a decent graphics card.

The rest is what compromise you are able to stomach.

Good luck

Sure an oled would be good, but make sure to set the theme on windows and browsers to dark mode to improve battery life.

laptopsdirect.co.uk has a Graphic Design category for Laptops.

Here's 2 options in the price range ( oh and... Yes, OLED is a good choice)

& an OLED choice

Thanks, appreciate your time and advice. Thinking the Asus Zenbook. I have until the end of January to decide for her 21st. She would prefer 14" over 15.6.
