New laptop, 2560x1600 165Hz IPS

Based on the specs, I think this is the best screen I've seen for a laptop in a long time.
Thin bezel, taller aspect, medium resolution, high refresh, IPS (hopefully good color).
I'd love to see this option (or 16:10) for most laptops, even if not 165Hz IPS.

I'm curious what others think? Does anybody care, or should everything just be 4k?

I also like the keyboard layout, and it has a webcam with what looks like an on/off switch.
Hopefully the build quality, screen, cooling, etc. are all good, and it's not terribly expensive.

I'm hoping it'll start around $1,300 for something like 5800H/3060/16GB/512GB
I expect it'll be more like $1,500+ though...

Looking at the specs, the 3070 does seem like it's far better than the 3060.
We're back to the days where mobile cards are much worse than desktop.

I'd guess the mobile 3070 is near a 980ti/1080/2070/3060ti desktop card.

Depends on the game, and who wants to play competitive online shooters on a 16" screen anyway.

This could be great for work and casual/single player games on the go.

Plug it into keyboard/mouse/monitor at home.

Personally, I think anything over 1920x1080 on a laptop screen is kind of pointless. 1080p 144hz 15.6" display is really solid, 4k doesn't bring a lot to the table on small screens and hurts your framerates while gaming.

i always want more room and having had 2560x1440 screens or better for a decade i have no idea how people can use a 1080p screen. my laptop feels very cramped.

I agree. I am currently using an ASUS TUF something or other and its a 17.3" screen with a 1660TI in it and 1080p 120hz. It plays every AAA game I throw at it on high settings and even on ultra settings in some games. 2K and 4K on a 15" screen is pretty useless. Hell, even on my 17" screen its a pain when I have a 75" 4K TV hooked up to my main PC. I really wish they would make a 22" or 25" laptop screen.
