NEW KT333 (LOOKS NICE BUT IS IT??)

Have a quick question? Does any body know whether or not the entire FSB will be able to do 166Mhz(333)? it would be nice to have an unlocked Athlon and get a free preformance boost.

well, sure it can...it depends on whether or not mobo manufacturers will implement FSB speeds above 133, and moreover, whether or not they implement proper PCI/CLK ratios....

i mean, most boards will let u run 166FSB but they run the AGP and PCI clock out of spec...

officially the KT333 does NOT support 166mhz fsb, obviously....there's no AMD chip sporting that FSB speed after all.

It all depends on the board manufacturer's. KT333 does not offically support 333fsb, but there's nothing to stop board makers to support it (Some allready have, IWill, Abit and EPoX all have boards that can hit 333fsb with top RAM.

yeah but if the manufacturers dont implement a HOST/PCI clock option in bios then u have no option with your FSB.. meaning thats u cant run it syncronously.
what i would love to be able to do is to run it at 166/166 on an unlocked XP and not 133/166
