From DPReview: Dimage X1 - Firmware update 1.10 - Thanks Konica Minolta!
Well I bought the Camera recently as an add-on, which I could always carry with me.

The styling is very impressive - the technic really great. Unfortunatly when I bought the camera I didn't have the opportunity to test the speed. And at home I discovered it was really disappointing. When I was going for a walk and wanted to take a picture of a swiming swan - close to me - well I had mostly the tail of the swan on the photo...

I didn't really have too much hope, that anything will change in future with this camera. So I was yesterday really impressed, when I saw on the Konica Minolta Homepage that they have an firmware update which really adresses this point. So I updated the firmware yesterday and went today for a walk with my camera. And - live is beutiful again!

It's now much quicker and I am happy I bought this camera and no other. So SPOTS ON to the customer service of Konica Minolta, I was really impressed how quick you fixed the problem, your customers have been really unhappy with.

Other than the fact my friend and his wife have had 3 Sony Digital cameras and they all had issues and needed to be sent back.

Not to mention the 2 DVD players I had saying C-13.....2 months out of warranty and they refused to fix or replace them.

Sony has gone to crap in the past 8 years.

is this a joke? The sony T line is well known as one of the worst models of slim cameras on the market. Ignore this joker.

I have a panasonic FX7 which is a great pocket size point and shoot camera with IS. The new FX9 is a bit better, you can get the FX7 for around $300, the FX9 for around $350. The FX7 got good reviews, i bought mine at Costco a short while ago, so may return it and upgrade to the FX9 for not much more money.

I just got it today, and it's everything I expected it to be.. ultra-slim, high color lcd screen, great pictures, etc.. I read the review from Steve's digicam as well, and also other review sites, and didn't see anything bad about it... Don't be jelalous just because you didn't get it $325.00 from Dell.

You will love the camera, BooGiMaN!

Well, it depends on your needs and expectations.

I'm sure most people would be happy with the T7's if they just got one and used it normally would any real comparison to other cameras.

It's super small and offers good resolution. And that's great for most people.

The FX8 and FX9 have almost twice the battery life of the FX7s, that alone is definently worth the upgrade.
