DIAF retard. You know nothing and that's abundantly clear now.

Moar pics 🙂 Click to embiggen. These ones were kind of rushed and I didn't bother with much PP so the quality is pretty poor. That's what happens when kitteh does some cute stuff when I'm in the middle of a game of Dragon Age.

My turn!!

This is Lin. He is a 14 year old kitty we brought home from a shelter yesterday.
He is currently hiding in a bookcase next to the bed. He is very friendly and already lets us pet him.
He will probably come out of hiding in a day or two. I'll post better pictures when he does.

This is Yin. She is a nine year old shelter kitty who also came home with us yesterday.
Yin is currently hiding in a bathroom cupboard and will come out when she damn well pleases.
She has never lived in a home so this experience is a total shock for her.
She is more reserved than Lin so it will likely be some time before she allows herself to be petted.

Edited to fix the ages.

Waidaminute! Is this the new cat pic thread? 😉

I like the new GA cathouse computer pics. You can see "kitteh's" personality in some of them, and thats always important in a good picture.

Just new cats, we don't like old cats. 😉

Lin came out of his hidey hole this morning and crawled into my lap. This is the shortest initial hiding time we've had for any cat other than the one kitten we rescued.

is she winking at the camera, or did she lose an eye in a fight?
She's just reacting to the flash, both eyes are fine. She started to move around a bit last night but is still in hiding. Being older and never having lived anywhere but the shelter, it will take her some time to come around. She is friendly but it is a whole new world for her.

Yin update. Yin refused to eat for the last five days. She finally started eating this evening. We were preparing to force feed her (which sucks but beats a feeding tube which is the next step).

Shallow depth of field was via apature priority, like I said. So his rant was pretty amusing seeing as I was right-on. That caterday image is awesome.

By the way the cat is cute.

Also, I wasn't critiquing your pictures. For all the reasons you stated shallow DoF via more glass was the sensible thing to do. I was criticizing THAT GUY.

Seriously, what the fuck are you talking about?

GA - Cute cat 🙂

My only photo-related critique would be cropping the first image. IMO, it's the best of the the three, but whatever he's underneath takes the eye away from the cat itself. I'd crop 25 - 30% off the top and I think you'd have yourself a hell of an image.

Cute kitty but be careful around the HDD PCBs. There's a lot of potential for damaging ESD there. 😉
