After Yin died back in February we've been catless, but no more. We have three new scared s'less, freaked out little kitties happily hiding on the porch. :p We ended up with three because they are family group and we're suckers.

The first is a seven year old female who is thought to be the mother of the other two. She's tiny, weighing in at 5.5 pounds. We don't like the name the shelter gave her so we'll name her when we get to know her better.

The boys are both four years old.
The first weighs in at seven pounds and we haven't given him a name yet either.

The second boy weighs over twelve pounds and he came with the name Oso, which we'll probably keep.

Once they get over being total freaktards, they should cleanup pretty good. :)

We had one who looked like Oso, named Lucifer, aka Lucy. Boy named Sue, Eye of the Tiger. Fierce but sweet, if that makes any sense.

Tiny cats are really cute. We inherited one two years ago. I wasn’t so crazy about adding a 2nd cat and 3rd pet but she is fun to look at.
She is kind of chubby at 8.5 pounds.
We’ve always had large sized cats.

Noice. I also picked up a pair of kittens about a month ago. John, orange/white, is about 4 months old and Arthur, black/white, is about 3 months old.

Things are going better than expected for the first day. Mama is already lap sitting and head rubbing. The boys are exploring the house and don't seem too concerned about us. All three have eaten and drank and two of three have used the litter box.

pffft. Large?
My two are around 13.5 and 16 lbs. They're big and probably a smidge overweight.

Nevermind, I see you said you had large cats before and this one is tiny.

Reading comprehension for the win.

Yeah we’ve had 14 or 16 pounds and our current senior boy who was 14 pounds of muscle. Not kidding he was ripped, three different vets said he was most muscular cat they’ve seen.
One gave me a chat about letting him out because they get into trouble, coyotes were coming back and cats just fight with each other....admittedly he looks like he usually wins....
Told the vet he’s never been outside.

That's the reason my two are a little overweight. Not much exercise because they're indoor cats.

Yeah easy to control weight with one cat but two makes it impossible.
Older boy is getting to where we want to keep weight on him and he has always been a grazer. Leave out tons of dry food and he only took what he needed. He’s older and doesn’t eat dry food as often so it tends to sit. Little one is a pig, first year she ate whatever amount was in the bowl. Now she just eats more than she needs.
Fortunately she doesn’t eat moist food so our older boy can graze on that.

Things are going very well. The girl kitty has a name now though I have to confer with my wife on which spelling we're going with: Leila, Laela, Laelah, Laila, Layla, Leïla, Leighla, Lejla, Leyla, لیلا‎, ليلى‎, or לילה. All mean "daughter of the night". She got bored with hiding, is now a snugglebug, and spent the night on the bed with us, sleeping on my head at one point.

The little boy kitty is a night terror, wrecking things in the dark. :p He has come around to sniff us out and spent some time on the bed. He's let us pet him a couple times but he's wired and gets overstimulated fast. He still has to earn a name.

Oso, the big boy kitty, is shy but not afraid. He mainly chills in a cubbyhole on the porch but responses to us when we talk to him. He explored the house last night and I think he'll come around pretty quickly. He was the one most traumatized by the stay at the shelter. All are eating well and started grooming again which bodes well for the future.

I'll try to get more pics this evening now that they don't look like hell.

why can't I see your pics these days? Is it an Imgur thing? I can't see most Imgur pics on like, 95% of the browsers/computers that I use.

Am I not doing internet right or something? :(

I want to see the kitties

(I saw your older bird pics, but the newer Condor stuff doesn't show up for some of my browsers--almost always chrome)

I don't know, they are on my website as always. My host seems to have played with the folder permissions again. I set them back to what they should be. Try again and let me know.

lol, I get the "Zoinks!" screen all the damn time these days--or in this case on a forum where I allow inline images, just blank spaces and no way to clicky. ...though IW isn't using Imgur, so it's something else that I have failed to do.

I got girl troubles. Spayed my ass, Layla went into heat last night. Talked to the vet this morning so this will be a short lived problem. Fortunately, all the boys are neutered.

Also, meet our newest kitty, his shelter name is Ruckus but we'll probably change that. He was the first cat we looked at in the shelter when we got the others. He's a super friendly extrovert so we figured he would get adopted quickly whereas the ones we took home were shy and were very unlikely to get picked. He didn't get adopted and his time window in the adoption room was closing so we went back and got him on Saturday. He's been a snugglebug from the minute we brought him home. He's a fourteen and a half pound monster kitty. According to the shelter records, he came from a home with dogs and it shows; he plays rough.

The others are adjusting well. Layla is kind of pissed off that Ruckus is getting attention but she'll get over it. Oso is still a freaktard but he meowed at me this morning to let me know there wasn't any food.
