Looking for a quiet keyboard. Saw some favorable comments on the Logitech UltraX and was about to get it when I noticed there is/was a wireless version. Problem is I can't find any in stock.
Does anyone know of a place that has these in stock?

Any other similar suggestions? Just looking for something with laptop/quiet style keys. Wireless is preferred.

The microsoft comfort curve 2000 might be worth a try. It's much quieter than my old keyboard but come to think of it that might not mean too much. Also, the space bar is kinda loud sometimes.

You can get it for something like 16 bucks on amazon.

Thanks for the sggestion but I want to try and get a wireless one.

Weird that you mention the spacebar though. I have one now that I am testing out made by Manhattan that has two things I dislike about it.
1. The wire is much shorter than my old IBM wire (~12 inches).
2. The spacebar is not nearly as quiet as all the other keys.

I would still recommend it if your tower isn't more than 3 - 4 ft. or so away from your keyboard.

Also the layout is a bit different then I'm use to. print Screen/Scroll Lock/Pause are not in line with the F1-F12 keys. They are where the Insert/Home/Page Up keys should be. So that scrunches the Insert/Home/Page Up keys and the arrow keys close togther. Just takes getting use to I suppose.

i have the logitech MX5000. Its supposed to be logitech's high end gaming keyboard mouse combo with laser mouse, and bluetooth.

HOWEVER, id like to tell you to stay away from bluetooth keyboards. Sometimes the keyboard and mouse wont register, (doesnt happen very often but happens once in a while). Another issue is, you cant put any cell phone next to the mouse and keyboard. When your phone rings, it throws the bluetooth single off wack, and takes 10-15 sec to resync.

If your going wireless, id suggest you look at microsoft's line, as i have had far less trouble with there stuff vs. logitech's stuff. And believe me, ive had quite a few...

Only reason i got this keyboard and mouse combo as well was because it was on sale for 79.99 when regular is 129.99 :\
