demolition man was better then judge dredd. actually, i remember demo man being totally awesome

i was a kid tho

I always thought it was fun because it painted an interesting picture of a restrictive "utopia." Plus, who wouldn't want to have "VR relations" with Sandra Bullock? :p

There are some elements in the Stallone movie that were kinda cool, but as a whole it didn't work. I think its worth a do over.

And I'll definitely watch Demolition Man this weekend. Ahh, back when Sandra Bullock was adorable.

me actually. i have a friend who is younger and loves being around me but never wants to do anything physical. even if i explain how much torture it is to just look all the time, she doesnt put out. but were friends so we keep hanging out. ugh, friends are so overrated:biggrin:

I liked them both, but I'm a sucker for future movies and their take on how society is. I just liked the idea behind Judges in the movie, judge, jury and executioner.

Yeah. It was also kinda cool that the old or shamed judges where banished into the wasteland to bring justice to the wicked. A lot of cool ideas in it. I think if Stallone wasn't in it, it might have turned out better. This was during his super mega action days, so it was a little over the top.

Meh, should have used Stallone and made it rated R. The writing actually sounds worse in this one.

If the comic was worth making into a movie once before, it might deserve to have a good movie. Haven't seen the trailer, but I don't hate on remakes and reboots "just because."

Hm, when I read the IMDB page, I wasn't that enthused by the little plot blurb. When I watched the trailer, I became even less enthused by the plot blurb. Synthetic drug manufacturer just sounds like too sophomoric of a plot... we need real villains for a comic book movie!

Maybe Lena Headey's character is from the comics. The plot portrayed in the trailer reminds me of New Jack City.

That was pretty good. Kinda funny, but if the guy wiped out your whole organization in France, wouldn't you just let the man be?

I know, why go after the guy who just wiped out your entire french organization... I can imagine Taken 3 will be like the grandfathers go after him for killing their sons.

didn't know there was this and the Taken 2 trailers up today.

For anyone looking for it, it's an international trailer:

So, it probably won't be on the normal sites until it's released here. However, it looks awesome! If the wife is being taken this time, who is left for the third movie? :p

I thought about that. It just... seems like a "small time villain." Although, now I'm thinking of Batman Begins and how it had some lesser known villains in it (considering prior movies).

I actually liked the first one with Stallone. He was perfect for Dredd & Armand Assante was good as well.

speaking of recycling 90's material- anyone here planning to go see Total Recall? I'd see just for Kate Beckingsdale, but that's just me
