In its pre-emption claim, the N.R.A. group said the New Jersey statute was trumped by a federal law that says states cannot prohibit the sale of BB and air guns. But the federal law does not prohibit states from regulating the sale of those guns, as the New Jersey statute does.

CA has a one pistol a month rule, actually a rolling 30 day period after your previous purchase.. . .

Sounds like the gun shops in these areas should start a "gun of the month" club to bring in the repeat buyers!

Virginia has it too but a CC permit and a few other things allow you to bypass that.

Truthfully I think you should spend a full month with a gun before you make a decision to sell and/or replace it.

Sounds like the law needs more guns to protect itself against the NRA.
