well, the b/f just got home and by the time he showers, dresses and we get to the place (40+ miles away), everyone there will have gone home.

A bit more notice next time and I can plan better.

If you only knew, Matt and I (and my wife and one of his YAGTs who just happened to be at the same establishment) were there playing pool until 1:30. 😛

Mugs: Nikki != Mindy. Mindy is the YAGT. Nikki is just a friend that decided to come by 🙂 I've never written about her...

Well that clears up a lot of confusion. 😛

How come both you and mugs are wearing oversized shirts??? Just curious.

Is the girl in the top left of the pic wearing a wedding vail thing???

Im confused, Gabrielle's is pretty quiet on weeknights, and is sort of like a sports bar...Why does it look like people are dressed up and dancing???

yep WWP south. class of '99. was amazed at the new HS they built my soph/junior year (wwp-north). looks like a freaking airport. but i prefer the open classrooms of south. the pit was the best. many fond memories of throwing crap on my friends who were having classes in the pit. i hear they have flat screen TVs in every classroom now

Hell yeah, WW-P South! My brother graduated '00, and I'm '08. The new school, North, is always referred to as an airport around here, b/c it sucks 🙂. If anything, we have a LOT of school spirit, and the open classrooms are what we love the most. No flat screens in any classrooms 🙁, although we do have two SmartBoards, which are pretty cool.

whats ur brothers name? i knew a couple people from class of 2000. what are SmartBoards?

and Pirates > Knights

He's David Pitlyuk. Went to UMBC. A SmartBoard is basically a big projector screen that connects to computer via USB, and allows you to draw on the screen (like in math class), and then save the document and send it to anyone. So basically, you can keep the notes that the teacher went over in class. It's pretty cool.

He's joking, that's not us.

I'll be in the area for work until the end of July so just about any night of the week I have nothing to do but go back to my hotel and waste my life on the internet so I'm down for another meetup after tonight.

Somerset Patriots minor league baseball starts next week I think...tickets are dirt cheap if people wanted to do that in a month or so.

Yeah, create a date and after tonight we'll thread it

http://somersetpatriots.com/schedule/07calendar/

Tuesday June 12? Some kind of $10,000 giveaway night...maybe some lucky ATOTer will win 10K (and cover the bar bill for the night). It has to be a M, T, or W night since I head home Thursday night. I'm open to suggestions on the exact date.
Somerset Patriots fans here? Wow, it really is a small world. Gotta love Sparky Lyle. I took the family to a few games last year.

Yeah, that's not them. And it was quiet...there was a little 1 year old kid crawling all over the place. Parental responsibility ftw 🙂

Anyways...good times...sorry I rolled out a little early (10pm)...still trying to make up for sleep I missed Saturday night after doing yeager bombs till all hours of the morning. We'll definitely organize something soon...maybe early June to give people plenty of advance notice. We can do the baseball game so those <21 can get in and the rest of us can still get wasted or we can do it at another bar....doesn't matter to me.

Actually, I've never been to a game there...I don't even live around here. 🙂 I was staying at the Hilton Garden Inn around the corner for a few months and saw the stadium and just thought it might be a good idea.

It actually is quite a nice stadium and you can get that "right in the action, close to the field" feeling that you would never get at a major league park, at least, not unless you paid A LOT more money. You're not seeing the same caliber of talent granted (although there are quite a few ex-major leaguers who seem to end up in this little independent league, i.e. Juan Gonzalez, Edgardo Alfonzo to name a few), but you really appreciate the skills it takes to play the game when you're that close. Everything just seems FASTER. 🙂 I get to a few Yankee games a year as well, but the Patriots are a very different but still enjoyable experience.
I'm guessing that you were at the Hilton for business? Mostly because as an ex-NYer, I can't imagine anyone actually wanting to be in NJ for pleasure. 😛
