I liked Arnold a lot actually and wished he was still eligible to run instead of these two..

He wasnt able to get much done with the State legislative going against him on everything.

Maybe he just needed MORE movie props...

if you think jobs are the number one issue in the state why would you elect someone who exported jobs to india and took hundreds of millions of dollars for herself? or someone who was caught lying numerous times. jerry brown had an earlier ad that did a really good job of pointing all of this out. she is a bad person who shouldnt be allowed to buy the presidency.

Because the state is broke as fuck

If only CA could be as profitable as eBay.

layoffs only suck if you get laid off

great for stockholders though!

In this case, CA = eBay, taxpayers = stockholders, government employees = soon to be replaced by indians who work for 1/4 the cost.

Net result = tons of pissed off government employees, a DMV that's open 5 days a week, and a state that's only half as broke

At least that's what I think.

Yeah this is what I can never get about the Meg Whitman haters. Sure you can dislike her for where she stands on certain policies, but to straight hate her because she was a successful CEO? If she treats CA like eBay, then we would be in the better. She made her stockholders rich as hell and if she's elected WE the citizens of California would be the stockholders. Her eBay experience imo is nothing but one to chalk up in the PRO column. I'm not even going to vote for the woman.

People don't dislike her for being a CEO. They dislike her for a lot of other reasons, including that she supports the welfare of CEOs when it conflicts with the public.

Just one example, which I've mentioned, is her desire to end all capital gains tax, which would increase her income millions a year, and other CEO types, at the public expense.

Being a good governor is not the same as being a CEO. Ask 'MBA CEO' George Bush.

Progressives hate success - except as athletes or actors, or through government. I've never been able to fathom why a Congressman or Senator becoming filthy rich is good but an entrepreneur achieving the same level of wealth is bad. Ah well, that's the price of having the brain of an engineer rather than, say, that of a telephone sterilizer - or a crack head. Or a community organizer.

Just out of curiosity - I have memories of Brown being an atrocious governor but a pretty good mayor. Is that correct? If so, why doesn't he run ads about his own performance as mayor?

What will Jerry Brown do to make California an attractive place for businesses to stay or move to? Oh wait he has no plan whatsoever other then hollow words coming from a guy being backed by the large state government unions who want to protect their share of the tax pie.

It's called demonetization. The dems can't really run on Jerry's record of his past performance since he was voted out of office once before so they go after Meg instead and try to tear her down because she is "too successful and rich". Never mind that there are those in their party who've grown fat and have been rich while being politicians on the tax payers dime...Nancy Pelosi or Barbara Boxer to name a few.

I don't care that she hasn't voted.

Then you don`t care that someone running for public office has never ever voted...thats a shame that you would not care.

Meg whitman is asking for your vote, yet she didn`t think it was important enough to vote....hmmmm

I do not think it means what you think it means...

but, just to help out...

de·mon·e·tize (d-mn-tz, -mn-)
tr.v. de·mon·e·tized, de·mon·e·tiz·ing, de·mon·e·tiz·es
1. To divest (a coin, for example) of monetary value.
2. To stop using (a metal) as a monetary standard.

I'm more interested in answers.

thank goodness californians have seen through this lying witch and brown is ahead by double digits

Your beliveing the LA Times again arn't you???

As a CA resident I'm going to be laughing while crying the next 4 years if Brown is elected. I'm going to be laughing at all the schmucks in this state who voted for more of the same when massive reform of the state is needed. I'll be crying as my taxes go up while services go down even more due to the state being mismanaged by Brown (again).
