I'm confused. Does it require a 16X dvd-rom or a 16x cd-rom? Of course, everyone already has a cd-rom that's at least 16x but not many people have a 16x dvd-rom (do they even make 16x dvd-roms?)

yeah they make 16x dvd-roms.. I think the original poster said cd/dvd because of the fact that a dvd-rom can play normal cd's. That particular game is shipped as a DVD only.

Who has a 16x cd drive anyway? A 8x dvd drive is usually similar to a 20x cd-rom drive. I don't care what the minimum drive speed is anyway I usually try to use no-cd exe's if available. I hate looking for the cd of the game I want to play. I have a bunch lying all over the place. Plus I want to play the game not watch pretty movies. That's what I go to the movies for.

ya sure bottle ,,,i think not... any way those were the recomended requirements and the ment them this game is putting my ti 4600 through its paces,id say the ti is lagging with this game and i hava 15,000 scsi,2.26p4,and i can see it wants more...................the minnumum req are 500 mhz,128 ram,8xcd/dvd, 675 free on hd,32 meg video,.......it is unique in that it REQUIRES a dvd rom drive, and this is the first game ive seen that dropped support for 3dfx................
