That's not a Ritchie film.

That's correct. It had one of the same producers though.

He was awesome in layer cake. I don't know if this will be good for his career though.

The bond franchise has been really hurting in the video game industry lately. A few really lame titles have come out. After Golden Eye the future seemed so bright too...

Kinda hard to imagine a game w/out pierce brosnan's face on it though.

Brosnan was too old to be in another Bond film. He'd need a cane by time it went into production.

I laugh at the fact that Orlando Bloom was even in consideration. You couldn't possibly put a bigger pvssy in the role unless you tossed DiCaprio in there.

I think the best bet would have been Clive Owen, followed closely by Colin Farrell.

Timothy Dalton has been the only good Bond in my book (other then Sean of course).

I'll reserve judgment on Mr. Craig after I watch Casino Royale.

I don't think people want to see an Irishman as 007 (Colin) I support Clive or Hugh though 100%. Those guys rock

Layer Cake was directed by one of the producers of Guy's first three films.

From IMDB, about the tone of the movie:
Moneypenny and Q Axed from 'Casino Royale'
Producers of the forthcoming James Bond movie Casino Royale have axed the legendary Miss Moneypenny character. Moneypenny, who has waved the suave super-spy off on some of his most perilous missions, been written out of the new film because she only fleetingly appears in Ian Fleming's original novel. Gadget-inventor Q, last played by John Cleese will also be absent from the new film - in which British actor Daniel Craig will play 007 for the first time. The news is the biggest indication the new film will deviate substantially from the spirit of previous Bond adventures. Co-producer Michael G. Wilson confirms, "Neither Miss Moneypenny nor Q will appear. Neither of them are in the book. The film will update the novel but stick very closely to the storyline."
