Who needs that dummy Trump? He can't stop countries from trading amongst one another. He is not the supreme ruler of the world. More like chief idiot!

and they throw a temper tantrum when they don't get their way

This is the perfect example of Trumpkin thought - stop abiding by an agreement and then when the other side stops too blame them for violating it.

This is why no one, and I mean no one, will deal with us for a long time, unless we give them serious, concrete concessions that protect our counterparties from the next Trump.

Between now and the election I fully expect Trump to escalate tensions between theUS and Iran even to the point of arranging for one of our ships in the Gulf to be attacked. He will find some way to start a war with Iran and if he could get away with it he'll drop a nuke on them. He will then make the case that he should remain President indefinitely, and if the election results aren't in his favor of course he won't accept the results. I'd like to think he could be kept from using Nukes, but who knows.

It'd take no less than a full generation of acting in good faith on part of the US to claw back to where we were.
But the balance of nations on the world stage is always changing, evolving. The further we are from post-WW2 dominance, the weaker the US shall be. We are ill prepared to manage our decline gracefully.

The US is trying to get the UN to declare Iran in violation of the deal that the US itself pulled out of over the objections of everyone else involved. Why in the fuck should anyone pay the least bit of attention to Pompeo’s primping at this point? You had a deal. Not a perfect deal, but a pretty good deal. You could have pushed for the strictest possible enforcement of that deal and expected the support of all your western allies at least, but Noooooo!. Trump tears it up, ranting, raving and screaming, because it was Obama’s deal and god forbid anyone admit it has the least bit of merit. Now you want us to care about the deal that you tore up?

Also, Erdogan is a dictatorial thug who should be amongst the first up against the wall when the revolution comes.
