There it is, the NEW shuffle
I just got mine today, dunno what to think of it as i cant try it out until tonight when i get back to my flat.
From what i can tell just by looking at it:
Advantages over my old shuffle:
1. Far more robust as its made of aluminium. Wont get snapped in two or whatever if you bump it and its still in the compuers USB port. Or get cracked with the armband, if youve got one with the armband you can probably see how it can get broken easily. Ive broken one old shuffle already, usb port came off.
2. Smaller, about half the size. Its also maybe a tad lighter? Wouldnt notice the weight tbh, same as my old shuffle.
3. It had "The Duke A-Number-One" engraved on it
It CAN be engraved, dont think the old shuffle could have that. Free too. Ok kaido said it can be engraved.... never mind then.....
3.1. Its faster when i change tracks, no delay at all.
Disadvantages over old shuffle:
1. Cant charge it anywhere as it dosent use usb to directly connect to the computer. Everything comes through the headphone jack + usb adaptor. So unless you bring this wire thing along with you, its no charge for you! Its got 12 hours of playtime though, so should be fine for me, ive never had to charge on the go. Well i have, but ive never NEEDED to.
2. No button to push to tell if its charged enough or not. There is two LED's on it though, one for power etc like the big one on the old shuffle and i assume the other will have somthing to do with battery life, not sure how ill access it though, maybe its constant.
3. No armband as of yet, although its design probably negates the need for one, i would still prefer to have it attached to my arm.
Well anyways, im exited to see how itll fare when i next go to the gym, i hope the clip retains its strength, and dosent weaken over time, as that would be me fubar'd
Also hope its strong enough to stay on me whilest running. Anyone else got one of these? What do you think of it?
