Welcome to Constructive Criticism 101:
The goal of this course is to teach you how to criticize people with the intention of having them learn something.
- Your comment sucks.
When you say something sucks, it's probably because you thought it out in your head, and came to some conclusion as to why it sucks. The problem is that people cannot read your mind (nor would they ever want to). Therefore, it helps the general understanding of others if you give a reason as to why you find something "sucky"
For example, if i say to you, "Your comment sucks", it doesn't really tell you anything constructive. But if I say to you "Your comment sucks, because you don't offer anything of value/constructive or otherwise to this thread", now i am giving you information as to how you can better yourself.
That concludes lesson 1 of CC101. Review your notes, and we will have a quiz on this tommorrow.
