New iPhone user here...alternative to get POP3 mail?

I've tried setting up my Roadrunner email using POP3 in the main Mail icon at the bottom of the screen. I couldn't get it to authenticate, so I googled it a bit, and found that apparently Time Warner has some kind of restriction in place so that it won't work on the iPhone.

Anybody ran into this, and is there a fix for Roadrunner emails? If not, what alternatives are there for me to get my email?
 
You could try setting up a gmail account, then using gmail to check your pop3 account (or you can just forward all your pop mail to gmail), then have the iPhone set to check the gmail account.

Or perhaps better yet, do the same but with yahoo mail. Yahoo has push for their email so you'll get notified instantly that you have a new email when RR forwards the mail to yahoo.
