That remains to be seen, many of the p965 boards can hit 500+ FSB with the right ram. But I would say if you want a maximum o/c with a p965 board your safer with an 8500

with an 8400 you need 489mhz FSB to hit 4.4ghz 9x489
with an 8500 you need 463mhz FSB 9.5x463

Anyone know anything about the proc with 3MB cache? Wikipedia says its 1066FSB and around $133...

I think the 3MB/1066Mhz model is referring to the Penryn replacement for the Allendale's, which was rumoured to be called the E4700, or thereabouts...

It is a bit surprising, but Intel thinks that within 3 months the Penryn-Quads will capture 50% of cpu market, with the Penryn-Dual Core capturing 25% of the market. Bye-bye Conroe!

I thought the E4700 was the 13x200 45nm model of allendale...
Maybe this new 3MB model is coming out as a E5XXX?
