New Instant Messenger Software!!

Anyone tried this program. Says it can integrate the big four, AIM, MSN, ICQ and Yahoo. The software is currently undergoing an update and not avilable for download but will be soon. Anyone tried this is it worth trying. This won't be like the AIM, MSN war will it were every half hour you would get an alert notifying you that there was a new update cutting off access to the other program.

Don't know how to link on here but here is the URL

This app isn't out yet, so I don't think anyone has tried it. I would love to try it out when they do release it.

Yeah, Jabber is cool. Jabber.org is the open source developers. And Jabber.com is a company building a product based on the Jabber source code. I noticed most of the Jabber variants support proxy SOCKS4 and SOCKS5, but no HTTP proxy support. Since we're behind a firewall at work, Yahoo! Instant Messenger is the only one (I know of) that support HTTP proxy.

Once Jabber includes HTTP proxy support, I'll be all over it!

Sun1818 I have the same problem here at work and i can get AIM and ICQ to work. I just let them search for a working port. They both find port 21, but it won't work. Change it to port 23 and it works fine. It may be my firewall, I am not sure🙂

Whoops .... didn't finish !!

Thats a client thing, because of the way it works, there is more than one client at the mo. As soon as the next phase of the server stuff is done, I know i'm going to be helping with the client, thou I've never had any problems with it yet.

Will ask questions here etc.
