Check out the new iMac colors at The Apple Store.
C|Net.com article
What's up with these funky new colors? First they ruin the iMac DV SE with a color called "snow" now they introduce dalmation and flower power?
The new 500 MHz and 600 MHz iMacs feature the IBM PowerPC 750cx processor, which, like the iBook, features 256K of on-chip L2 cache running at the same speed as the processor. Additionally, those two models also feature upgraded Rage 128 Ultra graphics with 16MB of RAM. The 400 MHz iMac, meanwhile, sports the traditional PowerPC G3 chip and the same Rage 128 Pro graphics with 8 MB of RAM as the previous iMacs.
The good news for the iMac DV SE is:
CPU bumped up to a IBM PowerPC 750cx G3/600
Internal CD-RW included
ATI Rage 128 Ultra graphics with 16MB of RAM
Why not introduce better hardware instead of worrying about colors? I'd like to see an ATI Radeon or GeForce card in the iMac.
Yes I'm an Apple supporter at heart but have faced the reality that my loaded Dell Dimension 4100/866 gives me the most bang for my buck. Go figure.
Wondering if Russ will grace my thread with a post ???
