<< the win98 model is only a 20 gb drive.

why is the lower model the same price?
>>

I think the lower model is also 32gb, and their title is wrong. If you look at the specs for the win 98 model, it says 32gb. I've emailed them, and they said it's a 32gb. Hope you guys get in on this, 1499 is awesome, picked up the first one myself.

Man, I want one of these!

EDIT: I got one. I do hope the previous post was right that it was a 32G HD, otherwise I am gonna ask for some money back, making it even sweeter. I don't really need 32G.

Mixxen: KDS doesn't use mobile processors or parts... their laptops aren't the highest of quality (IBM is VERY high quality)...

Very nice price for probably the only laptop which can hold it's own against the Dell Inspiron 8000.

I wonder if/when they'll put more ThinkPad T20 and T21's on auction.

What matters most in a laptop? The quality of construction and the quality of parts inside.

Big deal, they use a desktop processor?

Get CPUidle and you'll get better battery saving then using the crappy speedstep.

There were 32 up for sale yesterday afternoon for this same price. They were there for a while too. I'd have bought one, but I've got a $5000 tuition bill here...

IRS should mail my tax rebate next week:D. It'd help paying the sale tax.

Two possible NICs:
Netgear $20 (after 2 MIRS at circuit city or best buy, or
Xircom RealPort Eth 10/100 + 56K modem $62 from compgeeks.com.

The netgear has dongle cable, the xircom is dongle-less.
Is the dongle cable quite a hassle? I read that it is quite expensive to get replacement in case of missing.

hmmm, well this relaly sucks for those of us who bought the p3 700mhz/64mb/10gb model last week for only $300 less :-(
having said that i've got mine and it's SWEET, apart from the numb fingers trying to use this blasted 'nipple' mouse. Worst invention EVER!
