hey guys, not sure exactly why, but my setup doesn't look that sharp. i dont know how best to describe this, but it doesn't look "smooth". i just got the computer - a a6660t built to order with the NVIDIA 9500 gs. i've hooked up the comp to my tv via hdmi, but the desktop doesn't look that great. i think videos and stuff look fine - just everything else.

any tips on how to improve things? what should i do? much appreciated

I'm using a HD4870 and a 40" FullHD LCD HDTV. Compared to my 24" monitor the print doesn't look very sharp when on the desktop (window titles, file names, calendar, etc.). Movies and games look awesome though, so no biggie.

Try messing with your refresh rates. I'm using a 720p TV as my monitor, and when I first hooked it up with HDMI, I hated it because the text was blurry. I set my refresh to 59Hz, and everything has been great since. It isn't as sharp up close as a good monitor, but I didn't buy a 32" TV to sit three feet away from.
