new here trying to put something together

new member here. im trying to put a new desktop together, one that can run maya, 3dsmax , and all the adobe programs . I would love to here from anyone with an opinion, it would help out huge amounts. the system im looking to build is from the ground up . around 400 to 600 is were im looking . no monitor is needed. just the case and guts .

should probably head to gen hardware instead, and theres a couple of quad core threads in there over the last 3 days or so already that would be worth looking at, and i know they were in the 400 to 600 range.

Toss in another $50 for RAM, $70 for HDD, $100 for the case, $100 for PSU, and $30 for the Optical drive. That leaves $180 for the GPU, which'll get you a 512MB Radeon 4870 or Geforce 9800 GTX+
