New Hedgehog and Delta 38CFM Fan

I just received my new Hedgehog and Delta 38CFM Fan yesterday and was wondering if I should have the fan blowing on the heatsink or sucking? Is one or the other usually a better way to go, or do I have to try both to find out? I've never used a fan this powerful and want to get the most out of it. Please leave any suggestions you might have and thanks.
 
I have mine blowing on the heatsink.

If you have it sucking to air off, then you need to have the shroud on. If it's blowing on the heatsink, then take the shroud off.
