I bought this: i just bought this to connect to this 😎 my roomate got a 5.1 setup of definitive speakers and a pioneer elite reciever. we just left magnolia hifi spending 12 large. when i was checking out i put all the purchases on my discover card but i was surprised that the charge went through without the discover security people calling. then i went to gas station to fill up and the declined my card so i called and they were worried that i bought a bunch of electronics and now bought gas. lol well we get it all delivered on monday night 🙂 :music::music::music:

Is it flick proof? (If you flick a booger/klingon on it will it flick said booger/klingon back at you?)
If it isn't flick proof then you got hosed. 😀

How much of the 12k was for the tv itself ? I can't imagine spending that much money on technology when you know the price will drop as soon as the next line comes out. We spent $1800 on a 57" Sony last year and we're looking to upgrade when the next big thing comes out (beyond plasma).
I'm guessing $4K to 5K depending on how good of a deal he got.
Ouch.. that's an engagement ring right there! 😉

OMG that tv is freaking sweet. I want a DLP tv so much (or any tv larger than the 19" I currently have). Lucky you!

backups?

no I only bought one. Just what I paid or would have paid is a lot less than that. The two months salary line is a crock. Spend 2 weeks salary and save the rest for the wedding.

so wait, what is the diff between dvi and composite.

is that dvd player better than a progressive scan player?

dvi is better then progressive because there is no DAC or ADC involved in the signal transfer, straight digital from the dvd to my tv, compisite is junk.
