Hi everyone ,got a Compaq presario intel D for the kid really cheap, put a new HD,new xp pro installed,but at start it get stuck at the welcome position and wont move to boot further,until i use ctrl+alt+delet ,and then its smooth sailing and everything is OK (fairly fast)--any suggestion would be appreciated to solve the mystery :light:thank you.
 
Are you getting to a log in (as noted above) or does the machine freeze and a warm boot then boots fine?
