Mobo :
ASRock Z87 Extreme6
or
Asus z87-pro (MCT gimbped thou)

RAM : Crucial 4 x 8 GB (cheapest 1600mhz non-kingston I could find).

CPU : 4770(not K) (Intel Boxed)
- Should problary get better cooling, recommendations ? (would my old megahelm from the q9450 fit?)

- A little googling told me this is a good haswell companion

allready got gtx580 and ssd's that I will be re-inserting into the matrix.

1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.
- Gaming coding and movies

2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread
- 1000$

3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.
- Dont need help with that 🙂

4. IF you're buying parts OUTSIDE the US, please post a link to the vendor you'll be buying from.
We can't be expected to scour the internet on your behalf, chasing down deals in your specific country... Again, help us, help YOU.
- Dont need help with that 🙂

5. IF YOU have a brand preference. That means, are you an Intel-Fanboy, AMD-Fanboy, ATI-Fanboy, nVidia-Fanboy, Seagate-Fanboy, WD-Fanboy, etc.
- No fanboism here

6. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.
- Allready stated

7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.
- default

8. What resolution, not monitor size, will you be using?
- 2, 1. 1920x1200 2. 1680x1050

9. WHEN do you plan to build it?
- Now

The 1050p resolution will go better with the 1.5 gigs of VRAM that the 580 has. Smaller resolutions deliver better performance.

- Yea, suboptimal, however I am not quite ready for GFX update just yet.. the 780 does meet the requirement of 2x speedbump but the 580 still gets the job done and is only about 1½ years old.. It will have to endour one more op (plus allready played through crysis3, what else is going to kick my hardware in the **** like that).

Wait, 32 GB of RAM? ._.

It is cheap, I do use alot of ram, code and vm's .. Plus when it gets time to retire that rig it will act nicely as a virtualization server 🙂
And on that note :

The virtualization techs noted here, is there specifics I should be on the lookout for with the motherboard choice ? (support etc?)

There are very few bad parts, most recommendations come down to finding deals and avoiding bad price/performance. So we can't really make good recommendations for you without knowing where you're shopping.

Well, I just found out this : ASRock Z87 Extreme6, supports vt-d whereas the Asus does not.. That pretty much settles it with asrock for me 🙂 .. If im not getting a K part I would very much like all the features.

Beyond that it is just a little prevalidation i want from you guys, as in "Oh noes, dont buy that PSU, it has a history of fail and setting houses on fire" .. Nothing more 🙂

Hell, the QC on the HX850 is pretty fail compared to the Seasonic X series. Which one to get depends on pricing though.

Everything looks pretty good. If you want a good bang for the buck HSF go for the Coolermaster 212+ EVO. You could go with a smaller PSU since you won't need that kind of power and save some money. The HX650 would do well if you like Corsair.
