just bought a west-D 8mb hard drive and installed it loaded same os and now overclocking a no go its an abit kt7a mobo v1.3, 2100xp cpu, two sticks 256 pc 150 sdram. any way with a ibm drive I could get 13x160=2080 with vcore a 1.825 now its stock can't overclock, boots-post then restarts and just loops. Is there anyknown issue with this drive?

Ha.. I'd say your RAM isn't exactly what you want for the OC. My WD800JB hard drive works great at 200MHz FSB with PC3200 DDR

I believe your board does not have the 1/5 divider and 160FSB is pushing the limits of the board. I wouldn't go above 150 if I were you. The high speed would only cost corruption.

I'm using an 8RDA+, got it back in early Feb. It won't do 201MHz though.. for whatever reason. Word is I got pretty lucky because the majority of the boards don't go that high.

That explains it. You're using a board with 1/5 dvider and he's not using one with a PCI lock. His PCI specs is way off when using 160Mhz bus. I get corruption when I use 151Mhz and above. :)
