Beans in a can is hardly economical. You can buy bulk beans, cook them yourself, and store them in reusable plastic containers. Canned food is generally a lot more expensive than buying whatever it is in bulk and cooking as you need it.

Bagged steam in bag rice - 1$ per serving. 25 or 50# bulk, probably about 3c per serving.
