Hey

I have a p2 450, 394mb ram, and a tnt2 ultra video card (ya i know ancient!) i wanted to upgrade my graphics card to hopefully speed up play with counter-strike and/or warcraft,
what video card should i get? i just want to spend around $100-$200 preferrably cheaper of course, i was thinking about a MSI Gefore4 Ti4600 but now they are only selling the expensive 8X AGP version but i did see some on Ebay that are around $200. What should i get
and is it worth it or should i just go ahead and get a new processor first?
thanx for the advice!

The 4600 is too much of a card for that system to effectively take advantage of it. Does that board even have 4x agp support??? Personally with that setup I wouldn't ghet much better then a Geforce 2 GTS or Pro...otherwise the cpu and ram becomes quite the bottleneck...

The TnT2 Ultra is as "ancient" as the CPU, meaning they are fairly balanced in performance. A faster video card would provide minimal overall performance improvement because of CPU limitations. Save your $$$ and upgrade both at same time.

I agree, there's really no point in upgrading to a Ti4200 with your current system. You might also need a new motherboard, as you probably only have 2X AGP support at best at present (and 3.3.V at that, unlike modern 1.5V AGP cards). An older GeForce2 series card is probably the best bet for your current system, although even at that your processor and memory will still be a bottleneck for it.
