New GPU

So, I've managed to save some money and I'm thinking about getting a new one since my good ol' 450 is outdated into oblivion.

The 1070 and 1080 release are pretty close, and I expect a price drop on all 9xx Nvidia cards, but I'm not sure which one is worth.

Planning on spending no more than 200 € (Ye I'm in EU) which leads me to:
-The 950, its 154, so it's the most economical but the least useful since it will be outdated in less than 2 years.
-The 960 which is aroun 190, a bit more useful and if the prices drop it will be more worth
I would include the 970 but since it is 300 in every store its too expensive and the price drop won't make it reach 200.

Also, I've researched a bit and in upcoming games 4GB will be pretty much necessary, and makes me think if 2GB is even worth today.

Im familiar with nvidia and they served me well, thats why I didnt considered any AMD card, tho im interested if an R7 or R9 is it worth nowaday, because I heard that they are a bit less powerful than Nvidia but cheaper.

Any advice?

GTX 970 should drop a good deal after June 10 when 1070 is released. Get it then unless you're willing to wait at least 2-3 months until GP106.

Second the 970 since they are the best value for money especially if the price drops are linear. The 970 is the minimum recommended gpu for VR and I've also read that it can play almost every new game at 1080/60 on full settings.
