Funny I see this thread. I was literally just researching which GF to buy. I got to see the GF grill in action for the first time when my girlfriend made dinner for us last weekend and was impressed by it that I now want one myself. Hers was one of the older models with the non-removable plates. Seems the models that have the removable plates don't perform as well as the cheaper ones. I think I might try out the Cusinart Griddler.
