Looks good. If you're overclocking you can save a few $ by going for the 165 instead. They OC to around the same point and it's notably cheaper.

RAM can be dropped down to cheaper stuff if you want. However you're going fairly all out on this so the extra (but unecomonical) performance would be welcomed no doubt.

I'm not a great fan of OCZ PSUs, but it'll do if you're not looking for low noise or high efficency.

Motherboard is fine, buy a better monitor. A X1900XTX is a waste of money for a 19" for anything but an ultra hardcore gamer.

Just a thought on the video card....what I've read so far is that the X1900XTX is not worth the price difference over the XT. Behardware.com did a Vid Card Rounduphad this to say:

We will finish this article by clearly advising you not to buy a X1900 XTX. Compared to the X1900 XT, the performance gap is negligible but there is a 100? price difference.

Asus just released the A8R32 MVP motherboard and it seems to have great performance. HardOCP did a Review and it was their top performer. It uses the ATI 3200 crossfire chipset.

If you aren't in a hurry, I bet CPU prices will drop significantly with the release of the AM2 platform in June...also Direct X 10 compliant video cards will be coming out as well this fall. I guess there will always be a reason to wait though.

P.s. that corsair ram is has a rebate available through newegg.com

AT'ers suggested i go with the 165 too... i decided it wasn't worth the trouble for me so i'm going with the 4400+

basicly, how much is the clock speed guarantee worth to you? or 2x the L1 cache...

RAM

Monitor

I'd be looking more towards a 20" or a 24" widescreen. It depends on how much eyecandy you want to use.

look at my signature for recommendations and explanations fro those recommendations.
corsair value select 2 gig.
step up to asus a8n sli premium
step down to x1900xt
sideways to a samsung hdd
nec 3550a

since you are buying a x24400+ i'm assuming you are either only lightly overclocking or not overclocking.
