What? A new mousepad? Why, I've been using my current mat for nearly my entire computing lifetime! That's over 12 years. The pad itself must be almost two decades old! :eek:

Ok, maybe you're right.

Aluminum, eh? Are those the premium pads now? Or are they just a fad? Have they been proven over time? Do those get dirt buildup or lose smoothness over time like alot of the hard plastic ones? What are the best ones out there? (by best i mean will last a long time and are smooth)

If you can try some in the store I would recommend to do so. I'm using a Razer Mantiz Control and I'm happy with it.
