Now that I've decided to not wait for Nehalem, I'm definitely gonna go for a less expensive build that's somewhat upgradeable rather than something big that will be wasted in a year or two.

Right now it's looking like this.

Case: Cooler Master Cosmos - http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16811119138
PSU: OCZ 700W - http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16817341002
Mobo: Gigabyte D3SR P35 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16813128086
Proc: E8400 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16819115037, with Freezer 7 cooler - http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16835186134
Ram: 4GB DDR2 800 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16820231122
Vid Card: 9800 GTX - http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16814130339
HD: Seagate 7200.11 500GB - http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16822148288

Comes out to around $1100 or so. Barring any big releases in the next couple weeks, or some glaring issues that I haven't noticed yet, this will be what I build.

As for the questions-

1. What YOUR PC will be used for.
Gaming

2. What YOUR budget is.
$1500

3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.
USA

4. IF YOU have a brand preference.
Nvidia, Intel, Seagate

5. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.
No

6. IF YOU have searched and/or read similar threads.
Yes

7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.
Overclock if necessary

8. WHEN do you plan to build it?
Mid-End Summer

Be sure to wait for the 9800GTX price drop, it will be $199 or less.

If you like ATI the 4850 is just as good except for the lousy stock cooler (it's not a dual-slot, so heat stays in the case).

I have had bad experiences with ATI Cards,
and:

EVGA 9800GTX is $199 on Newegg - http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16814130339

Corsair 520W is plenty.

May want to consider the WD 640GB drive.

Going with a larger PSU now so I have more room to upgrade if needed.

As for the hard drive, I hate WD so sticking with Seagate.

One more thing, I'm pretty sure, but just in case, PCI-E 2.0 is backwards compatible with older mobos (like the one above), right?

Thinking you can "future-proof" yourself with a high-wattage PSU is not always a good idea. I mean, what do you think you'd be adding?

P35 doesn't support SLI.

The system you have in the OP won't hit 350W under full load.

Not necessarily adding stuff to this rig, but something I can take along to future builds (As I will definitely be building a higher-end Nehalem machine.)

The price difference isn't so much to warrant the possibility of having to buy a new one later on.
