About a month ago I was gonna build a new gaming machine. It was gonna be a AMD 1.33Ghz in a K7 Master, 40GB HD, GF2 Pro, Turtle Beach, and 256MB of PC2100. Then I didn't have the money for it because of school, but know it appears that there might have been a mistake in my bill. Should I build my machine or wait for better stuff i.e. newer AMD CPU?

this waiting stuff is stupid since there's alwasy something new on the horizon...

wait forever.

i agree the waiting is useless since there will always be something better in a couple of months
its better to get something when you need it and with a price tag that you're happy with
because in the end you're going to have outdated h/w that either costed you little money or a lot of money

i'd be very happy with those specs, although I'd probably go for a GF3 instead of gf2pro.

i surely wouldn't go GF3, as I'd wait until prices drop and games make use of some of its features...

otherwise, everything u have looks excellent (though i'd personally get an AMD 760 chipset mobo)

k7 master does use the 761 northbridge.

ive never used santa cruz, so i want say anythin bout its qaulity.. but i think most people are recommending it over the SB because of the recent "SBLive and VIA 686B bug".. i have both and havent had any probs transferrin large files.. but lots of people have.. think thats why its so popular now.. but could be wrong..
